This past Friday there were a few players that made an impact to help their teams to a victory.
North Allegheny 35 vs. Central Catholic 21
North Allegheny – <strong>JR Burton</strong> (JR) Running Back 5’9 175: JR looks a little thicker than what his weight indicates. He shows quickness to the hole. Average balance. He had 13 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Wilson 31 vs. Manheim Township 28
Wilson – <strong>Jadyn Jones</strong> (JR) Running Back 5’11 205: Jadyn is a decent sized back but has thickness. He shows quickness and pretty good speed. First play from scrimmage he had a 65-yard touchdown run. He had a total of 238 yards and 2 touchdowns on 29 carries.
Thomas Jefferson 42- vs. Belle Vernon 21
Thomas Jefferson - <strong>Jake Pugh</strong> (SR) Quarterback 5’10 165: Jake is an athletic kid. He shows to have a quick release. Jake was 13 of 20 for 223 yards with 3 touchdowns. He also accounted for three 1-yard touchdown runs. Thomas Jefferson and Belle Vernon were tied at 21 entering halftime.
McDowell 24 vs. Cathedral Prep 10
McDowell – <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27491" first="Chris" last="Juchno"] </strong>(SR) Quarterback 6’2 210: Chris is an athletic QB who has a high, tight, quick delivery. He was 13 of 19 for 123 yards. He also had 33 yards on 9 carries for 2 touchdowns. This was a huge win for McDowell ending an 8-game losing streak against Cathedral Prep.
