Week 2: WPIAL Player Matchup to Watch

We got another interesting WPIAL player matchup to watch this Friday night. It is Woodland Hills’ wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="27389" first="T’Rek" last="Scipio"] against Penn Hills’ defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="27215" first="Noel" last="Roach"]. Noel is an Akron commit, while T’Rek has some offers at the D-2 level but that does not mean it won’t be a good matchup. T’Rek is used as a deep threat guy. Even though Noel plays safety, it’s going to be interesting to see him track down T’Rek when Woodland Hills goes deep. Noel shows good speed but doesn’t think he has the speed to keep up with T’Rek. During Penn Hills’ first game against North Allegheny, Noel did line up at corner in the slot, so I am interested to see if they have T’Rek line up as a slot WR. T’Rek biggest concern is his route running ability. That’s where I see Noel winning that battle.
