Some games were anticipated to be close, and fans hoped that the match ups would be very competitive. Other game, such as Jefferson High School vs Archer High School, proved to be anything but close. When it was all said and done, Jefferson found themselves with a big win, as they won 61-7. While many players contributed to this role, one in particular stood out, and made an even bigger name for himself. Malaki Starks Malaki Starks 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Jefferson | 2022 State GA , Jefferson’s 6’1, 196 pound, Power 5 prospect, had a phenomenal game against Archer this past weekend. What makes his performance even more impressive is the fact that it was his first game starting at Quarterback for his team. Due to the fact that Starks has been on a national recruiting radar for quite some time, it should come as no surprise that he had a huge game.
By the end of the game, Starks had finished with 7 rushes, for 177 yards. If the fact that he got all of these yards in just 7 rushes does not impress you, the fact that within these rushes, he scored 3 TD’s should be enough to wow you.
During the game, Starks showed his unique burst, twitch, and ability to accelerate at an elite level as he changed direction. Because of this, his coach also came out and stated that he believed the Starks distributed the ball very effectively. As he continues to excel during the 2020 season, it will only further cement his place as one of the top players, not only in Georgia, but the entire nation.
