The 2020 football season is rapidly approaching. The Super Football Conference is gearing up for its regular-season schedule before a few postseason weeks. The conference features 112 teams across 20 divisions. There will be some quality returning quarterbacks in the SFC. Let’s take a look at which quarterbacks could make a splash this upcoming season. [player_tooltip player_id="27908" first="Dorian" last="Nowell"], St. Joseph Regional, Sr. – Nowell, a Georgetown commit, will be playing at St. Joseph (Montvale) after starting at Paramus Catholic in his sophomore and junior seasons. He showed promise with Paramus Catholic last season as a junior. He completed 58.8 percent of his passes (117-of-199) for 1,431 yards and 10 touchdowns. Nowell also scored four touchdowns on the ground. Nowell expects to make an impact at his new home this season. Tahjamell Bullock, St. Peter’s Prep, Sr. – Bullock will be one of the top quarterbacks in the conference this season. The Virginia Tech commit and three-star commit led St. Peter’s Prep to a state title a season ago. He finished 121-of-215 for 2,250 yards for 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He ran for another 461 yards for five scores. Expect another strong year for Bullock before he heads off to Blacksburg. [player_tooltip player_id="27896" first="Andrew" last="Butler"], DePaul, Sr. – Butler was tremendous for DePaul last season, finishing 185-of-287 for 2,890 yards with 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He had over 300 yards passing in games against Pope John, Delbarton, Donovan Catholic and Mater Dei. Butler threw for four touchdowns against Pope John, Delbarton and Donovan Catholic. Butler will look to have a strong year as he still searches for a premier Division I offer. Dave Cutugno, Livingston, Sr. – Cutugno completed 61 percent of his passes last year for the Livingston Lancers. He completed 133-of-218 throws for 1,570 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also ran for 389 yards and two scores. Cutugno showed promise last year as a junior. As long as he can limit turnovers, he can give the Lancers a nice boost this season. Mason Murdock, West Orange, Sr. – Murdock had a very productive junior year for West Orange. He completed 119-of-205 passes for 1,683 yards with 21 touchdowns to seven interceptions. He went 13-for-19 for 280 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Barringer last November. Murdock will look to continue his strong play in his senior year. Michael Robinson, Montclair, Sr. – Robinson combined for 22 touchdowns last year through the air and on the ground. He threw for 12 touchdowns and rushed for another 10. Robinson ran for over 100 yards in wins over Nutley and Columbia. [player_tooltip player_id="27999" first="Devion" last="Sheppard"], West Side, Jr. – Sheppard has Power 5 potential, and that was evident in his sophomore season with West Side out of Newark. Sheppard put up great numbers, completing 121-of-173 passes for 2,112 yards with 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns against Summit last November.
