After an offseason of not knowing whether or not there would be a high school football season, teams were able to take the field for the 2020 season debut.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34251" first="Cade" last="Rice"]</strong> QB, Northmont- The senior transfered to Northmont this offseason and at least in week 1 it proved to be a great decision for Rice. Rice threw for 303 yards and 5 td’s in a 40-36 thrilling win over Springboro. 32 of those yards came on a game winning td pass by Rice, and catch by Michigan commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="33900" first="Marcus" last="Allen"]</strong> who went for 9 catches and 102 yards. Northmont is gonna put up some serious points with these two hooking up on a regular basis. Springboro was lead by running back <strong>Moise Armbruster</strong> who rushed for 180 yards on 23 carries with 2 touchdowns.
<strong>Jackson McGohan WR Miamisburg</strong>- the 6'4 Sophomore receiver caught 4 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.
<strong>William Ingle RB Sycamore- </strong> The Junior running back is starting to get the attention of D1 schools around the MAC conference and Ingle didn't disappoint in week 1. The speedy back ran for 199 yards on 25 carries and 3 touchdowns, and also had 4 receptions for 43 yards.
<strong>Eli Kirk S Saint Xavier-</strong> Kirk was all over the field tallying 12 tackles (6 solo) and an interception that sent the game to overtime.
<strong>Corwyn Hurt CB Miamisburg</strong>- The Junior Defensive back had 2 interceptions to help Miamisburg to a big 38-7 win over Beavercreek.
<strong>Andrew Glassmeyer QB Mariemont- </strong>Glassmeyer completed 15 passes for total of 304 yards in a week 1 win over Taylor.
