[player_tooltip player_id="20311" first="Deandre" last="Archer"], Marist, 6’2.5, 232, 2021
Archer was quick of the ball and showed violent hands during individual drills. He’s got good bend for a big guy and can open his hips. He performed well during 1 on 1’s and got great extension on opposing tackles.
[player_tooltip player_id="20368" first="Carmine" last="Bastone"], St. Charles North, 6’1, 260, 2021
One of the most put-together guys at the camp. Kid is as strong as they come and has a great first step. How about his lateral agility, he clocked a 4.56 in the shuttle. Not too bad for a big man!
William Berry, Joliet Catholic, 6’1, 255, 2021
Quick and twitchy is how I’d describe Berry. He ran a 4.98 at 255, and a 4.75 shuttle time. He has the potential to play center or 3 technique at the next level, he’s got a ton of tools to work with.
[player_tooltip player_id="65481" first="Caleb" last="Dietlin"], West Aurora, 6’2.5, 227, 2021
I knew Caleb moved well, but not 4.84 40 yard dash well! The kid pulled a hamstring and still ran a great time for a big man at 227. The future is very bright for this guy and he should most certainly be on college’s radars.
[player_tooltip player_id="20359" first="Connor" last="Corrigan"], Naperville North, 6’2, 216, 2021
Kid has long arms and great burst of the ball. He gave opposing offensive linemen fits during 1 on 1’s and won the majority of his reps. Corrigan is versatile and could potentially play OLB at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="20904" first="Paolo" last="Gennarelli"], St. Charles North, 6’2, 262, 2022
I’ve seen Paolo quite bit and think he can play offensive line or defensive line. He showed on Saturday that he moves well and has a violent punch. Remember he’s only going to be a junior and his best football is still ahead of him. Could be one of IL’s best defensive linemen in 2022.
[player_tooltip player_id="20913" first="Christian" last="Lorenzo"], DeKalb, 6’3, 282, 2022
An FBS school needs to come in and scoop this kid up. He’s put together at 6’3, 282 and is explosive for a big man. He was clearly one of the best defensive linemen at the camp and manhandled almost every offensive lineman he went against.
[player_tooltip player_id="20908" first="Jireh" last="Mays"], East. Louis, 6’, 328, 2022
For a big man, Mays is as twitchy as they come. He can beat you off the ball with his quickness or overpower you with raw strength. He did a great job catching linemen lunging during 1 on 1’s and showed why he’s one of Illinois’ best defensive linemen in 2022.
TJ McMillen, St. Francis, 6’3, 243, 2023
Probably the most hyped defensive line prospect at the camp and he showed why. He went to war with Myles McVay, the state’s top OL in 2023, and won the majority of his reps. TJ has four-star type potential and showed why he already holds 2 FBS offers as only a sophomore.
Roderick Pierce III, Brother Rice, 6’2, 251, 2023
One of the more under the radar prospects at the camp. Following his performance though, I think a lot of people will know about him now. He used a quick reaction time off the ball and a superb spin move to overwhelm offensive linemen during 1 on 1’s. He’s got a bright future and should be one of the more well known DL’s in the 2023 class from the Land of Lincoln.
[player_tooltip player_id="65768" first="Xavier" last="Slayton"], Crete Monee, 6’2.5, 229, 2022
A feared pass rusher who can get offensive linemen to overset based on his pure speed. He showed quick hands during individual and a relentless motor during 1 on 1’s. His junior tape should be a good one.
[player_tooltip player_id="20317" first="Hunter" last="Sperling"], Chicago Christian, 6’3, 259, 2021
One of the more athletic big men at the event had himself a day. Sperling ran a 5.38 40 yard dash and a 4.73 shuttle time. He played defensive line at the event and was fundamentally sound all afternoon. He could play guard too if need be.
[player_tooltip player_id="65480" first="Jakai" last="Washington"], Hillcrest, 6’1, 240, 2021
Mr. Washington has impressive quickness off the edge and is a true disruptive force. His technique was spot on during individual and he delivered a swat that had a ton of force behind it. He’s a high effort kid with loose hips he uses to defeat opposing OT’s.

[player_tooltip player_id="20308" first="Sam" last="Buck"], Highland, 6’3, 293, 2021
Every coach I talked to about this kid raved about his ability. He had the best performance of any offensive lineman at the showcase. Sam showed quick feet, a strong lower half, and a ton of pop in his punch. He took a ton of reps during 1 on 1’s and won just about all of them. He’s got FCS offers, but I think he’s an FBS type talent.
[player_tooltip player_id="65444" first="Chris" last="Bornhoeft"], Plainfield South, 6’2, 275, 2021
He showed good lateral movement skills and adequate hand placement against the rush. Chris had really Impressive body control during 1 on 1’s, and was never susceptible to a push and pull. He has the ability to play tackle or guard at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="20297" first="Saveyon" last="Henderson"], Crete Monee, 6’4.5, 346, 2021
Henderson has a ton of raw tools you can work with. He plays aggressive and nasty. He’s got a clean vertical set and a tight punch that is hard to overcome. He has a few FBS offers, but he’s still on the market. I’m very curious to see where he ends up.
Mike Gatz, Marian Central Catholic, 6’2, 290, 2021
Gatz is a prototypical center prospect with a very strong base. He makes it extremely tough for interior defensive linemen to bull rush him. He was fundamentally sound during 1 on 1’s and showed solid quickness off the ball.
[player_tooltip player_id="65763" first="Thomas" last="Hubbard"], Bartlett, 6’3.5, 248, 2022
I think Thomas has the chance to be one of Illinois’ fastest-rising OL’s in the 2022 class. He’s got good size at 6’3.5 and moves well for a big man. He does a good job mirroring defensive linemen and has a violent punch with some pop to it. He can play all three spots on the offensive line and should be an FBS kid.
[player_tooltip player_id="20901" first="Jimmy" last="Liston"], Fenwick, 6’2, 302, 2022
You have to love the mean streak and competitiveness [player_tooltip player_id="20901" first="Jimmy" last="Liston"] plays with. Every camp you go to you see the sheer athleticism in his straight-line movement and lateral agility. He’s got the potential to play guard too if need be. Jimmy’s going to be one of the most highly recruited OL’s out of Illinois when it’s all said and done.
[player_tooltip player_id="20841" first="Miles" last="McVay"], East St. Louis, 6’7, 365, 2023
Myles made the drive up from St. Louis and didn’t disappoint. I was shocked how big he was in person and how good his footwork is. He had an ultra-competitive 1 on 1 vs [player_tooltip player_id="20311" first="Deandre" last="Archer"] that was one of the best matchups at the camp. McVay is a kid who just loves football and will fight to win at all costs.
[player_tooltip player_id="65428" first="Aidan" last="Tweedy"], Oswego, 6’3, 261, 2021
I think Aidan is Illinois’ biggest sleeper when it comes to offensive linemen. He was impressive during individual with his hand placement and showed he’s a natural knee bender. He was swift during 1 on 1’s and showed a pretty pass set throughout.
[player_tooltip player_id="20903" first="Josh" last="Sears"], Libertyville, 6’4.5, 242, 2022
Sears is going to be a name to watch in 2022. Right now we have him in our Top ten and he showed exactly why Saturday. He’s got the vertical stature you look for and athletic ability that a tackle must possess.
[player_tooltip player_id="65860" first="Mack" last="Indestad"], Lemont, 6’6, 230, 2022
This guy has extremely long arms and has good straight-line speed. He kept the QB clean during 1 on 1’s and showed he has a very high ceiling. If he continues to add weight, good things are gonna happen to him.
