Oregon D1 Offered/Projected Kids Who Could Blow Up (All Classes)

<div>Athletes referenced here are from the classes of 2021-2023. Some have division 1 offers right now, others are waiting but project at that level. Have a look at a few of the kids who’s stock could skyrocket with continued progression.</div> <div></div> &nbsp; <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28713" first="Holden" last="Whipple"] 6-5 285 T West Salem  21’  2* (OFFERS: Northern Arizona, Georgetown)</b></div> <div></div> <div>I’m a big fan of Whipple as it’s rare to see a big man possess such coordination and overall athleticism. Watch how smooth he is on the basketball floor and you see a kid with an unlimited ceiling. Holden broke out as a Sophomore earning 2nd team all-conference honors and never looked back</div> <div></div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/9970473/5ddcc7c9b01a690ea0eade66" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div><b> </b></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28712" first="Bryan" last="Cuthbertson"] 6-0 250 LB Sherwood 21’ 2*  (OFFERS: Portland St)</b></div> <div></div> <div>The returning Pacific Conference POY is legit. He may not have the prototypical size of an LB who major D1s would recruit, but his film speaks for itself. Hands down the hardest hitter in the state. He is my favorite to earn Oregon 6A defensive player of the year honors heading into next season.</div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/9436165/5d8058170660c212248769a8" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div></div> <div></div> <div><b>Kaden Huppin 5-11 170 ATH Westview 23’  </b></div> <div></div> <div>Huppin could be the best player in Oregon for the 2023 class. Look for him to be a double-digit D1 offer kid when all is said and done. Not a lot of people know about him yet, with the likes of 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28833" first="Darrius" last="Clemons"] and 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28834" first="Aaron" last="Jones"], representing for the Wildcats, but that will change quickly. He is the real deal.</div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/12397151/5dd6c25d90fa1e0cf053127e" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div><b> </b></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28836" first="Keenan" last="Speer-Johnson"] 6-3 180 WR Tigard 22’ 3* (OFFERS: Kentucky, Nevada, Utah St)</b></div> <div></div> <div>Most are aware of KSJ coming from a prominent football family, with his father Don Johnson Jr. coaching with the Ducks. If [player_tooltip player_id="28700" first="Drew" last="Carter"] sticks around to play the season instead of bouncing to Colorado, expect Keenan to get the ball 8-10 times a game and break records.</div> <div></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk745367" href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12658298/Keenan-SpeerJohnson" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/profile/12658298/Keenan-SpeerJohnson&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHXaHbZJcpZiwojJSWRMfaFHaliPQ">FILM: https://www.hudl.com/profile/<wbr />12658298/Keenan-SpeerJohnson</a></div> <div><b> </b></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28837" first="Brian" last="Mannion"] 6-2 180 QB Mountainside 22’  3* </b></div> <div></div> <div>Expect Mannion to go off when given the opportunity. Most are aware of the Mannion genes, being the son of head coach John Mannion, and brother of NFL QB and former Oregon St star Sean Mannion. Brian broke out late last year, helping the Mavericks beat an undefeated and #1 ranked Tigard team in the playoffs. I don’t think people quite understand how good he is going to be. As of right now I would put him in the conversation for Oregon 6A player of the year honors.</div> <div></div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/11660354/5ddb55a52aa81e0d2c3be3d9" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28839" first="Jordan" last="King"] 6-3 205 ATH Central Catholic 22’ 3* (OFFERS: Central Michigan)</b></div> <div></div> <div>King keeps a low profile and is an incredibly humble kid. That said as he is a freak athlete who started both ways as a Sophomore, earning all conference honors and a state title for the Rams. His ability to play on both sides of the ball at the highest level is very appealing, to go with his overall athleticism and prowess on the basketball floor.</div> <div></div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/11046389/5e18a21c96814d13c4485617" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28707" first="Mitchell" last="Duea"] 6-6 235 DE/TE 21’ 3* (OFFERS: Air Force, N.Colorado, Bucknell, Georgetown), [player_tooltip player_id="28720" first="Blake" last="DeBisschop"] 6-3 180 QB 21’ 2*, [player_tooltip player_id="28789" first="Flynn" last="Schiele"] 6-3 190 WR 21’  2* West Linn</b></div> <div></div> <div>This trio of athletes will help lead the #1 ranked 6A team in the state. Each of them is ranked nationally by 247 Sports and come with legit size, and the tools necessary to thrive at the D1 level. Duea earned honorable mention all conference honors on both sides of the ball, while Debisschop and Schiele could blow up once they obtain some game film.</div> <div></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk341334" href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/11584895/Mitchell-Duea" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/profile/11584895/Mitchell-Duea&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGxLNjxInmoj_60GRxVMu9pCAZxaA">Duea Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/<wbr />11584895/Mitchell-Duea</a></div> <div>DeBisschop Film: <a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk" href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3267895/5ddc8ea596812a0e8099de28" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3267895/5ddc8ea596812a0e8099de28&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGTAoEPfDaY6P-xUcOJBTOD9pcQvA">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/<wbr />3267895/<wbr />5ddc8ea596812a0e8099de28</a></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk653612" href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10193611/5df07f153863da1378f9911f" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10193611/5df07f153863da1378f9911f&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNE1edrDzyrFial0EsJZVboTZRXJLg">Schiele Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/<wbr />10193611/<wbr />5df07f153863da1378f9911f</a></div> <div></div> &nbsp; <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28844" first="Brooks" last="Ferguson"] 6-5 200 QB West Salem 22’</b></div> <div></div> <div>Another kid that comes from a football family as the son of Western Oregon head coach Arne Ferguson. Brooks started as a freshman at Central HS before making the transfer to West this year. It is up in the air as to what position he will play, with returning standout [player_tooltip player_id="28761" first="Jackson" last="Lowery"] at quarterback, but Ferguson is a three-sport athlete with all the tools.</div> <div></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk" href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/11585031/Brooks-Ferguson" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/profile/11585031/Brooks-Ferguson&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEv-wDpwHpXezY7gF3M75HWe0iqdg">FILM: https://www.hudl.com/profile/<wbr />11585031/Brooks-Ferguson</a></div> <div><b> </b></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28788" first="Slade" last="Shufelt"] 6-3 220 OLB/RB  Hillsboro 21’  2*</b></div> <div></div> <div>One of the fastest rising athletes in the state of Oregon. Slade should absolutely dominate 5A competition after earning 1st team all league honors last season. Physically Shufelt is gifted. He has done a great job of getting himself out there on the camp circuit, with this being a must, if playing against NWOC competition.</div> <div></div> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/9840209/5e158834d21abf0b30fa470b" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <div></div> <div><b>[player_tooltip player_id="28864" first="Zac" last="Waible"] 6-3 205 OLB 22’ &amp; [player_tooltip player_id="28862" first="Nui" last="Tovey"] 6-3 210 OLB 22’ Lakeridge </b></div> <div></div> <div>Maybe the fastest rising pair of teammates in Oregon who some folks might not know about. Waible grew a few inches over the off season after an outstanding Sophomore campaign which saw him earn TRL honorable mention all-conference honors. Tovey has impressive size and tests off the charts. Both kids look like two of the top players in the state for the 2022 class.</div> <div></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk" href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11576466/5e1cc85696814d13c44bf6c9" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11576466/5e1cc85696814d13c44bf6c9&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNE7TWSZmVkkfsqDGiTiEcEtvwByeA">Waible Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/<wbr />11576466/<wbr />5e1cc85696814d13c44bf6c9</a></div> <div><a id="m_5798597383643626120LPlnk" href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11797380/5e3653d4a022aa08c022440c" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11797380/5e3653d4a022aa08c022440c&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1599587260480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFClVNT-CGLiFdvpqIMQjOIaK9bkg">Tovey Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/<wbr />11797380/<wbr />5e3653d4a022aa08c022440c</a></div>
