The condensed 2020 season is now in full swing with every week providing must-watch matchups across the Ottawa-Kent Conferences. In week two, Muskegon faced off against cross-town rival Muskegon Mona Shores in the most anticipated game of the year to date. In the OK Red, Grandville and East Kentwood combined to score 97 points in a thrilling shootout. Below I’ll highlight the top performers from week two.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="29824" first="Brady" last="Rose"], QB/ATH, Mona Shores</h6>
Brady led Mona Shores to a 21-14 win over Muskegon in what was the biggest game of the year to date. Brady threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Mona Shores now sits at 2-0 and the favorite in the OK Green.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="29741" first="Jaden" last="VanDalsen"], QB, Jenison</h6>
Jaden led Jenison in rushing with 197 yards on the ground to help the Wildcats pick up their first win of the year over West Ottawa, 35-25.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="29812" first="Blake" last="Bosma"], WR, West Otatwa</h6>
Blake had another big night in West Ottawa’s passing game, hauling in nine catches for 124 yards. Bosma also had one touchdown on the ground.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="54861" first="Zak" last="Ahern"], QB, Rockford</h6>
Zak led the high-powered Ram’s offense with 187 passing yards and three touchdowns, and fifty-two rushing yards and a fourth touchdown on the ground. After defeating Caledonia 49-7, Rockford now sits tied for first-place in the OK Red at 2-0.

The two-headed monster in the Bulldog backfield ran all over East Kentwood, combining for six rushing touchdowns in the 54-42 win. After two games, Grandville has scored 116 points and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="54849" first="Sawyer" last="Wychers"], QB, Byron Center</h6>
Wychers got it done on the ground and through the air, scoring in both ways to help the Bulldogs cruise past Grand Rapids Christian 41-6. The dual-threat quarterback compliments one of the better defenses in the area, making Byron Center a team to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
