Because of the year-round events that are open to all football prospects, the level of talent is always on the rise.
Because of this pandemic, it has been tough for them to get to these off-season camps and combines, but you will see that this group of five prospects will keep the Nature Coast region in the spotlight.
Here are some athletes who you will hear plenty about:
2021 – Ezra Brennan, QB, New Port Richey JW Mitchell. This impressive talent is embracing his senior season – as he looks to add to last year’s 2,304 yards and 11 touchdowns as a first team 7A All-State performer. In addition to what he does on the football field, his work in the classroom has produced an impressive 4.2 GPA.

2021 – Larry Gibbs, CB, Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch. If you are going to throw in this quality football player’s direction, you had better think twice. He is athletic, skilled and just when you think you have him beat, he has recovery speed and leaping ability. In addition, he is impressive as a special teams performer as a kick returner. If this team is going to be successful in 2020, you can guarantee that Mr. Gibbs will have something to do with it.

2021 – Dedric Hall, WR/CB, Brooksville Nature Coast Tech. Another versatile two-way standout who has already impressed on the offensive side of the ball as a receiver – and is turning heads on defense as a corner back. Make no mistake, this is one of those young men who makes a program like this special – and as he heads toward his senior season – a lot will be expected here in 2020.

2021 – Zach Lewis, RB/LB, Hudson. As the 2020 season unfolds, there will be plenty of talent that will roam the fields in this region, and with versatile talent like this – who can play on both sides of the ball – things will get mighty exciting. As a linebacker, this is a gifted player who sheds blockers very well and will get to the passer or ball carrier because of his passion and hard work. He is not afraid to stick his head in and make a play – or drop back in coverage to make a key play. If this team needs him on offense, his power running is quite impressive, getting those tough yards or making things happen down near the goal-line.

2021 – Zyre Roundtree, RB, Zephyrhills. Yet another prospect in this region that has been turning heads with his speed, athleticism and overall football skills. Whether it’s line of scrimmage runs, catching the ball out of the backfield or coming up with a key block that will help extend plays, this is a tremendous football talent that continues to attract attention.
