Just days after narrowing his list to two schools, Yorba Linda offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="25095" first="Mason" last="Randolph"] announced his commitment to Boise State Tuesday.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Randolph would commit as early as a week or two to either Boise State or San Diego State.
This is the third consecutive year that Boise State’s recruiting class features a player from Yorba Linda High.
Michael Callahan was part of Boise State’s 2019 recruiting class. He was a redshirt last season and appeared in one game at BYU on October 19.
Nathan Cardona was a member of the Bronco’s 2020 recruiting class and will likely redshirt this season, if it happens.
Randolph is the 12th ranked offensive lineman in the state according to Prep Redzone and is the number 73 overall recruit in the state.
"I have two good friends and former teammates that are at Boise and that was a big plus for sure," Randolph told Greg Biggins of 247Sports. "I played with Nathan Cardona and Michael Callahan and those are my boys, I’m excited to play with them again. My biggest thing was development and going where I’ll have a chance to play in the NFL someday and I think Boise State is the place that will give me that opportunity."
Randolph developed a connection with multiple coaches at Boise State. He is in regular communication with offensive line coach Brad Bedell and director of recruiting Darren Uscher. He has spoken with head coach Bryan Harsin multiple times, including a FaceTime call last week.
He is the third offensive lineman in Boise State’s recruiting class, joining Joseph Amos of Lancaster, Texas and Cord Kringlen of Holy Family High in Bloomfield, Colorado.
