A lot of times some of these kids get overlooked because they don’t play at big schools, and I feel that they deserve the spotlight and the opportunity to be seen by college coaches as well. It is important that we highlight as many prospects as possible. At Prep Redzone Florida, we are different than most sites where we want to emphasize guys that are not being heavily recruited and try to promote them, so they also get an opportunity to play in college and get the exposure they need and deserve!
Tyrell McMillan MLB-Sneads c/o 22
5’10 200lbs
McMillan has the best instincts of linebackers I evaluated in Florida 1A Region 2, he reacts extremely fast once he finds the ball and will sift through traffic and show outstanding closing speed. He shows the ability to disengage from offensive lineman and get to the football. He has outstanding sideline-to-sideline playmaking ability and is one of the most athletic linebackers I’ve scouted thus far in Florida 1A. He’s only a junior and I expect by his senior year he’ll have some big-time offers.

Joeseph Finuff MLB- Liberty County
6’0 200lbs
Finuff is a throwback linebacker, he meets ball carriers with authority and plays with a lot of physicality. He’s very active and has good anticipation skills and has the speed to make plays on outside runs. He’s very instinctive and has a nose for the ball. He’s one of my favorite players in Florida 1A Region 2. Colleges need to jump on him ASAP, he’s a pure football player that’ll make any team better the minute he gets into their program.

Mikis Engram LB/ATH- Blountstown
Engram is undersized, however he is a really good tackler, plays well out in space and shows the ability to slip blocks and get to the ball-carrier. He would project to be a safety in college and shows the speed to be able to translate that to the defensive backfield. I really like the way Engram plays, sideline-to-sideline player with a lot of aggressiveness and a sure tackler.

Will Varnes DE/OLB- Franklin County c/o 22
6’1 215lbs
Barnes plays defensive end, but I project him as an outside linebacker in college. He does a great job of taking on blocks shedding them and getting to the ball carrier, always shows hustle and effort, does a good job of diagnosing plays and making sure he’s in the right spot.

Charles Winchester LB- Franklin County
6’0 180lbs
Winchester is light for the linebacker position, but he packs a wallop! Time and again on his film he absolutely brings the wood, he also shows the ability to drop in coverage and make pass breakups. Winchester also shows the ability to read and diagnose plays and shoot the gap. As with most of these small schools he also lined up in the Wildcat quarterback and showed the ability to run with the ball.
