While the 2021 RB class in the state of GA may not have been super strong, we have high expectations for the 2022 class. These players already play at a higher rate, and with a higher ceiling of potential. Check out our three favorites that we think you should keep an eye on.
Jamie Felix Jamie Felix 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Camden County | 2022 State GA – 5’10 205 Camden
Watching film on Jamie Felix Jamie Felix 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Camden County | 2022 State GA shows the clear cut difference between the state of GA’s 2022 RB class compared to it’s 2021 class. Felix is a very explosive back with a phenomenal burst. While he has great straight line speed, he can also change direction well too. What makes his game so dominant is his ability to be patient when he runs, and to read the hole well when he takes off with the ball. His ability to keep his legs moving makes it hard for defenders to stop him, thus helping him to gain good yards. He holds offers from schools such as Florida, Georgia, and Auburn. It will be interesting to see where he decides to play at the next level
Antonio Martin Antonio Martin 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Langston Hughes | 2022 State GA – 5’10 195 Langston Hughes
Antonio Martin Antonio Martin 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Langston Hughes | 2022 State GA is an SEC caliber RB, which is ironic given the fact that Alabama and Arkansas have already offered him. Martin shows the ability to change direction well, and also break away for large gains. Along with this, Martin can also use his frame and size to his ability, both running over defenders, and slipping away from them just the same. His twitch and ability to dip his shoulder when he runs is exciting to watch, and we expect him to continue to develop in this upcoming season. Expect him to have another big season, just like last year, when he put up 1535 yards and 16 TD’s.
Quintavious Lockett Quintavious Lockett 5'11" | 210 lbs | RB Douglass | 2022 State GA – 5’11 205 Douglass
There’s a lot to love about Quintavious Lockett Quintavious Lockett 5'11" | 210 lbs | RB Douglass | 2022 State GA ’s game. First off, he runs extremely well in between the tackles and has long speed, with a good burst as well. He also displays flashes of good short area quickness as he is able to turn the corner well and gain extra yards on the ground. Lockett is also not afraid of contact, and this is clear by his running style. With this, it can also be seen that he gains a large amount of his yards from a straight line running style, and that he has the ability to catch the ball as well. These skills will translate very well into the next level, as he is able to combine this with his ability to make guys miss. Due to this, we are not shocked that schools such as UGA, and FSU have already taken a liking to him.
