The QB position is hard enough to play as it is, but not receiving the attention you deserve for playing it at a high level, can be even more difficult to deal with. Below, we have listed three of our favorite 2022 QB’s in which we feel have a very high ceiling.
Bryce Archie Bryce Archie 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McEachern | 2022 State GA – 6’3 190 McEachern
Bryce Archie Bryce Archie 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McEachern | 2022 State GA is a perfect example of a high school QB that has a high ceiling, with great ability, but has had to sit behind another star. Last year, Archie sat behind starting QB, Carlos Del Rio Carlos Del Rio 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Grayson | 2021 State GA but managed to see some time on the field due to the dominance that McEachern always displays when playing other teams. Even in this short span, Archie has shown that he is the clear heir to the throne, and that he not only plays the system very well, but can be a game changer in the system. He makes just as many plays with his legs, as his does with his arm as a young player. Archie displays the ability to drive the football down field with great velocity, while also being able to check down appropriately. He also has a good touch to his passes, and can pass well when on the move. One thing we want to see in his progression is the ability to clean his drop backs and mechanics up. As he works on these things, he will continue to develop as a young QB.
Zak Rozsman- 6’2 200 Walton
It comes as no shocker that Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt have already displayed interest in Zak Rozsman due to his current ability as a passer. Rozsman, as a sophomore, was able to show the ability to make multiple throws at a very high level. This includes short and intermediate passes. With this, it can easily be seen that one of his biggest strengths is his ability to throw the football with speed, accuracy, and good timing. His quick release makes it hard for defenders to stop. Despite the fact that we love his ability, we would like to see him improve with his pocket presence, as well as his mechanics involving his delivery of the football at times.
J.C. French J.C. French 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Wesleyan | 2022 State GA – 6’3 200 Wesleyan
J.C. French J.C. French 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Wesleyan | 2022 State GA has already received offers from schools such as Akron, Wake Forest, and William and Mary. French plays the QB position with very clean mechanics, and with a fluid throwing motion. He also moves the pocket very well, and does not get overwhelmed easily. Along with this, he has decent footwork, and great ball placement. His ability to fit the ball into tight windows and make a few college level passes is also something that we guarantee schools will love. If you have not watched his film yet, we suggest checking him out due to the fact that we feel that this could be the season that he breaks out.
