The Moore League consists of seven schools in the Long Beach area.
Several NFL players have come from the Moore League including: Desean Jackson, Willie McGinest, Datone Jones and Jeremy McNichols.
While Long Beach Poly has dominated the Moore League and produced more NFL players than any high school in the nation (60), the league is loaded with talent and is known for its speed and physical style of play.
Here is a look at the top 10 defensive players in the Moore League this season. In case you missed it, here are the players who were ranked 6-10.
5. [player_tooltip player_id="25312" first="Tacario" last="Davis"], Millikan, 2022
Davis is a tall, athletic defensive back that can cover receivers on the outside and in the slot. He is 6-foot-2, around 170 pounds and flies to the ball. Davis is listed on recruiting sites as a defensive back and played most of his snaps at safety last season. He had an interception which he returned for a touchdown against Cabrillo last season and I expect him to create more turnovers as a junior. Davis has an offer from Arizona State.
4. Alama Collins, Wilson, 2021
Collins was named Moore League Defensive Lineman of the Year last season. He had 49 tackles, 11 for a loss and 4 sacks. In a crucial win against Millikan, he had seven tackles, three for a loss and two sacks. He is 6-foot-2, 290-pounds and has fast feet for an interior defensive lineman. He handles double-teams well in the running game and can cause trouble in the backfield as well. Local scouts give Collins rave reviews and I expect him to earn FCS offers during his senior year.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="25210" first="Jacob" last="Tuioti"], Long Beach Poly, 2021
Long Beach Poly had one of the most dominant linebacking corps in the state last season and linebackers aren’t as dominant without a good defensive front. Tuioti was outstanding up front for the Jackrabbits last season, tallying 61 tackles, 45 solo tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 10 hurries. He was the Moore League Defensive Player of the Year and committed to Army in July.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="25297" first="Aubrey" last="Scott"], Compton, 2022
Scott is one of the most physically dominant defensive linemen in Southern California. He is 6-foot-5, 250 pounds and has the most sacks of any returning player in the league (9). Scott had 49 tackles, 15 for a loss and a pair of forced fumbles. He was the only sophomore to be named First Team All-Moore League last season. Scott has three offers from Arizona State, Kansas and Utah.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="25162" first="Bryun" last="Parham"], Long Beach Poly, 2021
Parham had the most impressive numbers of any defensive player in the league last season. He led the Jackrabbits 102 tackles and 24 for a loss. Parham is also a playmaker, tallying eight sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and a blocked punt. He was First Team All-Moore League last season and had dominant games against Los Alamitos, Lakewood and Orange Lutheran. Parham committed to San Jose State on June 23.
