<span style="font-weight: 400;">Quarterbacks are the hub of the offensive unit when they’re out on the field. During the showcase that <a href="https://www.theperformanceempire.com/company">Performance Empire</a> held this past weekend, multiple quarterbacks showed up to display their talent. Including one that made the trip out from California.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Below is a list of gunslingers who stood out during this past weekend’s event.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The reigning 5A state champion quarterback didn’t just impress the coaches, he made a lasting impression on the defensive backs who were tasked with covering his targets. He was consistently accurate when making throws at every level on the field. There were a few deep balls that resulted in completions due to them being thrown with pinpoint accuracy. The 6-foot-2 QB has a quick release on his short passes, making his quick game extremely efficient. Hammond III is definitely worthy of being on recruiting boards. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Burr is an elusive dual-threat quarterback with an accurate arm. The 5-foot-11, 170lbs QB is comfortable throwing on the run. He stood out during the drills that focused on extending plays in collapsing pockets and throwing on the run. Burr is capable of making “bread-basket” passes, leading his receivers just enough to allow them to make a catch in stride. This electrifying athlete is a name to know.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Love is a solid quarterback with a lot of talent. The 6-foot, 182lbs QB has excellent footwork and a strong arm. He’s good at getting his hips around and setting his feet in order to get strength and precision in his throws, especially when he has to move around in the pocket. Love has been raising his stock value by putting in work during the offseason, work that will surely pay off in this coming season.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Gioia made the trip all the way from California for an opportunity to compete against Colorado talent while showcasing his skills. The 5-foot-10, 165lbs QB made some precise throws and displayed his impressive footwork, especially when rolling out. Gioia looks comfortable in the pocket, but his speed (4.7 40-yard dash) and accuracy while rolling out make him a dangerous mobile QB. He is an extremely focused player who’s determination and competitive nature is written all over his face. Gioia has a sharp throwing motion with a quick release, making the accurate quarterback one to keep an eye out for.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Wilson has a cannon for an arm. The 5-foot-11, 185lbs quarterback showed improvement with each rep that he took. In addition to his strong arm, Wilson moves very well in the pocket. He has solid footwork and good awareness. He made really accurate throws during the showcase, especially on medium-range routes. Wilson possesses the skill that enables him to place the ball in a spot that gives his receivers a better chance at completing the catch. This player has a bright future ahead of him.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Russell is the type of quarterback who is always hungry for competition. He is a dual-threat QB who is constantly working on his craft, yet he is rarely satisfied. During the 1-on-1 competitions, Russell showed off his impressive arm strength. He made more than a few throws on target where the ball had plenty of velocity on it. The young 6-foot, 175lbs player has great potential and a high ceiling. Russell’s name is definitely one to know.</span>
