With most Pennsylvania high schools just days away from starting heat acclimation workouts, we look at the states top five running backs in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="27202" first="Josh" last="Hough"] - Beaver Falls: Our 16th ranked player overall is much more than a running back and really could probably be assigned the athlete tag. While Hough shines as a running back, he also plays wide receiver, linebacker, and defensive end for Beaver Falls. At 6-foot-2 and 230-pounds, Hough is on the bigger side for a running back he certainly has the talent at running back to play at the next level. Last year, he rushed for 1,273-yards and 18 touchdowns on 135 attempts. He’s currently committed to Syracuse.
[player_tooltip player_id="27221" first="Nahjee" last="Adams"] - Easton: The 5-foot-11 and nearly 200-pound running back is the lead back of a deadly Easton running attack. Last season for the Rovers, Adams carried the ball 267 times for 1,868-yards, and 26 touchdowns. He’s a fearless runner who is willing to run between the tackles and to the outside. He has everything you look for in a lead back including great speed and elusiveness. Adams has picked up 19 Division I offers so far in his recruitment.
[player_tooltip player_id="27224" first="Dresyn" last="Green"] - State College: The State College standout is another running back who put up big time numbers in 2010. Last season for the Little Lions, he rushed 1,204-yards and 19 touchdowns over the course of 196 carries. Green also serves as a corner back and return man for State College. He’s currently receiving interest from FCS programs.
[player_tooltip player_id="27261" first="Ethan" last="West"] - Seneca Valley: West is ranked by us as a running back but at the next level will most likely be a linebacker. That being said, West is a tremendous two-way prospect who was a first-team All-Conference linebacker in 2019 while having nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards on offense to go along with six touchdowns. An incredible athlete, West is currently receiving interest from both FCS and FBS programs.
[player_tooltip player_id="27273" first="Brandon" last="Camire"] - Emmaus: The second Eastern Pennsylvania Conference running back on this list, Camire was spectacular in 2019. On the ground, the 5-foot-9, 170-pound tail back rushed for 1,617-yards and 24-touchdowns on his way to All-Conference honors. Camire also made a difference in the passing game with 16 receptions and 138-yards while also being a game changer in the return game. While he is on the smaller side for an ideal running back, Camire could project well at the next level to a wide receiver especially with his reported 4.42 forty-yard dash time.
