There is elite defensive talent all over the state but Camden County might be at the top of the list. Here are some big name weapons on the defensive side in the area.

Graham tops the list of linebackers in the Class of 2022 and might be the best in New Jersey regardless of grade. He is a three-star recruit with incredible speed from sideline to sideline. Graham has a nose for the football and is a strong tackler that is hard to get away from.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27866" first="Jalen" last="Cheek"] (2021) | Winslow</strong>
Cheek is a top 10 player in New Jersey entering 2020. He committed to Boston College over the likes of Pitt, Rutgers, Maryland, and many more. Cheek has great hands on the outside because of his time as a wide receiver. He has great closing speed and can stick with a receiver in man coverage. Cheek is an impact player and will continue that at Boston College.

Chestnut is another elite piece to Camden’s defense. He recently announced his commitment to Syracuse, which makes him one of the best recruits for the Orange in recent memory. Chestnut is a hard nosed player who is a ball hawk. His footwork on the outside is incredible to go with his speed and agility. Chestnut and [player_tooltip player_id="27873" first="Alijah" last="Clark"] make up arguably the top secondary in the state.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="28023" first="Marcus" last="Johnson"] (2022) | Woodrow Wilson</strong>
Johnson is a name that is going to climb up prospect lists in 2020. The 6’4 defensive end finished with 50 tackles as a sophomore. He doubles as a tight end but dominates on the defensive end. Johnson is an end with all the tools and abilities to be successful at the next level.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27927" first="Kolby" last="Miller"] (2021) | Timber Creek</strong>
Timber Creek features an elite offense and Miller is one of the leader’s on the defensive end. He is a strong presence in the middle. Miller led the team in tackling as a junior and that should continue over his final season. Miller is a dark-horse player for the 2020 season.
