THE SCOOP ON DENHOFF. What we’ve learned in Florida through the years is it just does not matter what school you attend – big or small, if you can play this game, it will show in a hurry.
This is a man-child, no matter where he lines up, and with speed, size and being a big time athlete, he makes every play – all over the field.
It’s no surprise that he is headed to Clemson, where they churn out defensive linemen like an assembly line.
Watch this young man play and you are sold right away. He not only physically overpowers offensive linemen, but plays off blocks and gets to the player with the ball – fast!

THE DEFENSIVE END POSITION IS DEEP AGAIN: There is no doubting how impressive Denhoff is, but this state is stocked with some amazing talent – and here are 5 others from Class of 2021 to keep an eye on in 2020
[player_tooltip player_id="32694" first="Darrell" last="Jackson"], 6-5, 258, Havana Gadsden County. If you are looking for the reasons why many experts are choosing this program as one to watch in 4A this coming season, this is one of the prospects who is a difference maker with game-changing potential. This University of Tennessee commit does it all up front. Stop the run, get to the passer - and is surrounded by teammates that are capable of doing much of the same.

Travonte O’Neal, 6-4, 240, Vero Beach. Another versatile football player that head coach Len Jankowski and the Indians come up with every season. A versatile talent that can play that rush end position – with plenty of speed and athleticism – or play the outside linebacker spot, using his speed and football skills to get the job done for a program that will once again be in the mix in 8A.

[player_tooltip player_id="32906" first="R.J." last="Sorensen"], 6-4, 240, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. From Palm Beach County to University School in Davie this past season and now with the Raiders in Fort Lauderdale, here is a versatile and talented young man who has impressed everywhere he’s been. A Louisville commitment, many who have watched him perform believe that he is just scratching the surface and his best year are definitely ahead. Will have the opportunity to work with Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, who takes over as Defensive Coordinator this season.

Zoar Vasquez, 6-3, 245, Lake Mary. One of those under-the-radar football players that may not get the same spotlight and hype that the other defensive ends in Florida receive, but he can play this game, and whether it’s getting after the quarterback – or being a run-stopper, he has the size and quickness to turn some heads. Solid football player who is looking to have a banner season for the Rams.

[player_tooltip player_id="32908" first="Xavier" last="Young"], 6-4, 245, Miami Edison. Here’s a huge addition for the Red Raiders as they get this athletic big man from Tallahassee Godby, who has the size and ability to control the line of scrimmage. He is quick, agile and very strong. Another major piece that this team gets on to campus once they return to football in south Florida. Cannot say enough about the job that head coach Luther Campbell and this program has done to build this team into a potential title contender.
