Brevin Czosnyka, 2022, LB, 6’2” 185 lbs., Sandra Day O’Connor
Versatile athlete that has good size and the ability to play on either side of the ball. Brayden is natural linebacker that has good instincts and puts himself in good position to make plays. He’s strong at the POA and shows good toughness and aggression. Made an impact as a sophomore on varsity in 2019 and has good momentum going forward with two full years ahead of him. If he continues to improve at his current trajectory he’ll see his recruiting stock rise.
Dallas Kuenzi Dallas Kuenzi 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Sandra Day OConnor | 2022 OR , 2022, QB, 6’1” 190 lbs., Sandra Day O’Connor
Kuenzi caught they eye of several college scouts early at the event. They loved his footwork and ability to smoothly move around the pocket. Strong throwing mechanics, the ball really flies out of his hand and he’s an accurate passer with a quick over the top release. He has a good frame with a strong lower half. His potential and upside make him an exciting prospect to watch in the O’Connor offense this season.
Kane Metts-Terrell, 2022, WR, 5’11” 180 lbs., Sandra Day O’Connor
A good natural athlete that is developing into an explosive playmaker at receiver and in the return game. Decent size for a young wide out with long arms, measured in with a 73” wingspan. Showed off his good speed and change of direction in individual drills at the event. Also showed his strong hands, body control, and ability to adjust to the ball in the air. One to watch going into his junior year.
Xavier Nakai, 2022, OL, 5’11” 318 lbs., Coconino HS
Xavier is a developing interior offensive lineman with size. Has the ability to play the NG or DT position where he can use his size and strength to his advantage. Still developing bend and hip flexibility but had a good showing and has plenty of time to improve entering his junior season.
Matias Ortiz Matias Ortiz 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Coconino | 2022 State AZ Jr., 2022, DL, 6’1” 200 lbs., Coconino
Worked out with the DL at the showcase but has the size and frame to transition well to TE or even LB depending on his growth. Showed good movement, bend, and lateral agility throughout the day. Very physically strong and powerful at the POA. Love to see the way he pursues the ball on film and is a strong tackler. Look forward to evaluating him again this upcoming season to see his improvement.
Andy Ruiz Andy Ruiz 6'1" | 200 lbs | DB Coconino | 2022 State AZ , 2022, DB, 6’0” 190, Coconino
The first team All-Region DB as a sophomore was impressive throughout the event and even more impressive on film. Already has a strong frame with a good base for a DB. Showed fluid hips in drills with good acceleration and leg drive out of his transition. Plays extremely physical and tough in run support and displayed good ball skills in coverage. He’s a quality all-around player that has his best football ahead of him.
Angel Rios, 2022, OL/DL, 5’11” 240 lbs., Coconino
Another Coconino lineman that has the ability to play on either side of the ball. Projects more on the DL where he can use his flexibility and bend to beat blockers. He’s a young developing player with raw potential. Will be interesting to see how he grows and matures as he progresses.
