Prep Redzone takes a look at some top prospects who will try to lead Woodstock to another playoff run this fall.
David Daniel David Daniel 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Woodstock | 2021 State GA – Safety- Class of 2021
One of the top safety prospects in America, the 6-foot-3 190-pound future Georgia Bulldog is a hard-hitting defender who will be asked to do a little bit of everything for the Wolverines this fall. After breaking through as a starter as a sophomore, Daniel’s recruitment blew up early in 2019, and he became a nationally known prospect soon after.
As a prospect, Daniel has good length, lots of muscle, and has some versatility to his game. Right now he can play multiple positions in the secondary, but he’ll primarily play safety at the next level. He runs well for his size, has good ball skills, and certainly looks the part of an SEC-caliber safety.
Brett Stefan – OL – Class of 2021
Stefan is one of the most interesting prospects in Cherokee County. The 6-foot-4 250-pounder played mostly defensive tackle for the Wolverines last year, but he’ll move to offense this fall and start at left tackle. An athletic kid with a basketball background, Stefan has great feet with a high football IQ. He’s got some early offers and interest from some Ivy League schools on the defensive line, but more schools are likely to show interest once he gets some film out at tackle. As a junior last fall, Stefan was named 2nd-team All Region and 2nd-team All County.
Wes Bruno – WR – Class of 2021
The Wolverines will have their leading receiver back this year in 6-foot-2 165-pound, Wes Bruno. He led the Wolverines in both receiving yards and touchdowns last season while having the fewest drops on the team. His hands are as reliable as it gets, but he’s also shown some physicality in his career. Bruno has no problem taking a quick screen around the goal-line in for a score. He’s not afraid of contact, and does some of his best work in the red-zone. He may be on the lighter side, but Bruno is a physical guy who will get plenty of chances to make plays this fall playing opposite of David Daniel David Daniel 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Woodstock | 2021 State GA at receiver.
Jarae Foster – CB – Class of 2021
Another returning starter for the Wolverines, Foster is a 6-foot-0 160-pound boundary cornerback who knows how to play on an island. He’s quick, athletic, and has great footwork for a defensive back. He’s another guy who can make plays on special teams, but his work at cornerback really helps out the entire Woodstock defense. He’ll be a guy to keep an eye on in their secondary this fall.
