The star cornerback from Sierra Canyon High of Chatsworth held 21 offers before committing to the Hokies.
Harvey had four interceptions for the Trailblazers last season and returned one for a touchdown.

He also caught 84 passes for 1465 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver and returned two kicks for touchdowns.
Harvey told Greg Biggins of 247Sports that when he visited the Virginia Tech campus earlier this year that it felt like home.
He previously had narrowed his list to Virginia Tech, Oregon and Cal.

Offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="25088" first="Garrett" last="DiGiorgio"] of Phelan High out of Serrano stayed local and committed to UCLA on the Fourth of July.
The 6-foot-7 lineman <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2020/07/top-offensive-linemen-in-southern-california-6-10/">narrowed his list to eight schools</a> on June 23, which included Cal, Duke, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon State, Utah, Washington State and San Diego State.
DiGiorgio anchored an offensive line for a Phelan offense which rushed for nearly 3,000 yards.
He had attended a camp at UCLA last summer and visited there more than any other campus on his list.
DiGiorgio is the third offensive lineman in the class of 2021 to commit to UCLA.
<strong>Ostlund joins Former Teammate at Penn</strong>
Defensive end [player_tooltip player_id="25180" first="Nick" last="Ostlund"] of St. Margaret's Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano announced his commitment to the University of Penn Sunday.
St. Margaret's recently sent another star player to Penn, receiver Ryan Cragun who was All-Ivy League last season.

Ostlund led the Tartans with six sacks last season.
He held 16 offers prior to his commitment, including many of the Ivy League schools and Colorado.
