Please welcome the newcomers to the top 300 in the Class of 2021 from the outstate of Minnesota. In no particular order, these players are in the top 250 to 300 prospects in the state of Minnesota from mostly small-town Minnesota. Enjoy!
[player_tooltip player_id="23749" first="Jeremiah" last="Smythe"], OL/LB, Aitkin
Smythe plays on the Gobblers offensive line and is also a stud at linebacker. Even though he’s about 185 pounds, he still can shove some kids around even though they might have a little bit more size than him. Fighter type player that I think could be a good blocking tight end at the college level or stay at linebacker. Check out my recruiting report on Smythe below and his tape. Run in the 4.8s for his 40-yard dash and olds junior day offers from the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire and Minot State.

[player_tooltip player_id="23737" first="Damian" last="Meyer-Andre"], WR, Jackson Country Central
SDSU commit [player_tooltip player_id="10989" first="Rudy" last="Voss"] had no issues finding Meyer-Andre last year and although he loses his QB1 to the Jackrabbits, Meyer-Andre should have a solid senior year based on the film. Meyer-Andre is a gifted prospect that can press the sideline grab, go get the big throw with his solid speed, or can play in motion and line up anywhere in the box. He currently holds junior day offers from Augustana, St. Olaf, UW-River Falls, and Iowa Western.

[player_tooltip player_id="23734" first="Tate" last="Christenson"], WR/TE, West Central Area
These kids from the Knights of West Central Area have some torque when they have the football! Alongside [player_tooltip player_id="22926" first="Jaden" last="Norby"], Christenson becomes the second Knight on our top 300 rankings for the Class of 2021. Limited film for Christenson, but a kid that could be dangerous when he turns on the jets when he has the football. Plays a little tight end too.

[player_tooltip player_id="23727" first="Keegan" last="Effertz"], ATH, Sibley East
Effertz has an accurate read on where the ball carriers are going on every play. As a college prospect, I would like him as a linebacker or a free safety because he’ll need to develop size-wise to play linebacker at the college level. Has 4.7 speed but it looks quicker on tape. Effertz has two college football offers from the Hamline Pipers and the Cobbers from Concordia-Moorhead Also holds interest from Wayne State, Simpson (Iowa), Grand View, Valley City State, Jamestown, Bemidji, and others. Wayne State looks very active with Effertz as of late.

[player_tooltip player_id="23709" first="Isaak" last="Sipple"], LB, St. Cloud Tech
Sipple is a prospect that I’m surprised doesn’t have more offers or one from the Northern Sun. When he drops ball carriers, he does it with a pop in his game that you want to watch on film. His vision is spot on and he can see a tackle coming from a far distance. Also an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA. UW-River Falls made the first offer on Sipple, who originally hails from the 715 area code. Also grabbed an offer from the Cobbers in early May.

[player_tooltip player_id="24442" first="Jacob" last="Hendrickson"], DL, United South Central
Hendrickson was a quarterback’s worse nightmare last season with 11 sacks during the regular season for the Rebels of United South Central who finished 10-1 last season. Jacob also had 5 tackles for a loss as well. What is shocking? 11 sacks had him second on the team but he’s the top returning player on defense. Would love to see more of him on defense, as when he does unleash on a sack or tackle, it’s with pure aggression which is impressive for the 180 pounds Hendrickson brings.

[player_tooltip player_id="23703" first="Max" last="Seltun"], OL/DL, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva
What’s my favorite part about Seltun on film? Watch his tape at the 1:38 mark and you’ll see exactly what I mean. A prospect that’s not afraid to engage with anyone even if you’ll see on tape there’s a lot of defenders that don’t want to engage with Seltun because of what you see early in his tape. Liked his tape more on the offensive line versus as a defensive lineman. Seltun does have some interest from Division III programs in the Midwest taking a look at him!

[player_tooltip player_id="24440" first="Zach" last="Jackson"], QB, Holy Trinity/Lester Prairie
What I liked about Jackson’s tape to add him to the top 300 was his mobility and size at 6’2. Good touch on the football especially on mid and deep throws could use some better touch on his short passes, however. Jackson is also a playmaker, can is not afraid to use his speed to evade the speed and get a big run out of it. Jackson got the love last year being named first-team All Mid Southeast and first-team All Herald Journal as well. Jackson also plays the cornerback position pretty well too.
