Going to camps is a great way for athletes to improve their skills, but it is also a way for them to compete against one another and show their talent. For receivers, 1-on-1’s is where they get to show their route running, hand fighting, ball tracking, and catching abilities while matched against a defender. There were plenty of standout receivers at the Jenkins Elite Camp, some of whom garnered enough attention to raise their stock value. Here is a list of a few names to know:

Sam Jacobs - ThunderRidge - 2021
Jacobs is a 6-foot-2 receiver with reliable catching abilities and has been training with Jenkins Elite for over two years. He missed his junior season due to an injury, but he has proven that he is ready to put his skills to good use this year. His stride and catch radius make him a serious deep threat, while his size makes him a favorable target.

McGarity isn’t just quick, he is ridiculously fast. His speed and his ability to track the deep ball makes him a secondary’s nightmare. He is also a precise route runner, which makes him equally dangerous when cornerbacks play off-coverage against him to keep from getting beat. McGarity finished his sophomore season with 47 receptions for 568 yards and five touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="22762" first="Joshua" last="Gerlach II"] - Palmer Ridge - 2023
At 6-foot-2 and 185lbs, Gerlach is a big receiver with great hands. Add his speed and sharp route running to the mix, and he becomes a serious threat anytime he is on the field. The 4x US National Football Team receiver will definitely be an invaluable asset to the reigning 3A State Champions.

Dominic Seaton - Cheyenne Mountain - 2023
Seaton saw quite a bit of playing time in his freshman year as a running back, racking up 262 yards on 37 carries for two touchdowns. His speed enables him to accelerate through any hole and keep a defense on its toes. The 5’8, 165lbs athlete also lined up in the slot where he had nine receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown. Regardless of where he lines up on the field, Seaton is a true defensive threat when the ball is in his hands.
Landen Loomis - Horizon - 2023
Loomis is an excellent route runner with a quick release and a lot of flash. He has great hands and knows how to put his foot in the ground and get upfield after the catch. His quickness makes him a great weapon in the short passing game, but he also possesses the speed and ball-tracking ability to be considered a deep threat.
