As the summer continues to role on, recruiting is heating up in the state of Colorado.
Four of the top 15 prospects in the state, as determined by Prep Redzone Colorado, have announced their commitments to play at the next level over the last couple of weeks.
First up were a pair of teammates at Heritage. Tight end [player_tooltip player_id="22520" first="Terrance" last="Ferguson"] was first, announcing he would head to Oregon next year. His teammate, fellow tight end Erik Olson, will also play in the Pac-12 at the next level as he announced his commitment to stay home and play at the University of Colorado over the Fourth of July weekend.
This past week, a pair of athletes made their commitments to play in the Mountain West conference at the next. First came Palmer Ridge wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="22527" first="Kaden" last="Dudley"], who announced he would play at Boise State. The next commitment came from Vista PEAK offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="22525" first="Braylen" last="Nelson"], who announced he would play at Fresno State. Both were previously linked to the University of Colorado before head coach Mel Tucker left for Michigan State.

The recent commits announced above have resulted in 10 of the top 15 prospects in Colorado have made commitments. There is still plenty of talent remaining on the board for many top schools to recruit.
First is Cherry Creek defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="22521" first="Arden" last="Walker"], the No. 5 rank recruit and top defensive prospect in the state. Walker racked up a number of offers from FBS level schools in the spring and should see more with a strong senior season for the defending state champs in Class 5A. Not far behind him on the rankings is his teammate, tight end [player_tooltip player_id="22523" first="Gunnar" last="Helm"] (No. 7). He too has received FBS offers and took a visit to the University of Iowa in the summer.
A few more prospects high on our rankings list still uncommitted include: Eaglecrest wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="22526" first="Ty" last="Robinson"] (No. 10 overall), Cherry Creek defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="22530" first="Myles" last="Purchase"] (No. 14) and Holy Family offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="22531" first="Cord" last="Kringlen"] (No. 15).

Minot State hosted a number of prospects and delivered plenty of offers to some Colorado prospects. Those who did receive offers include: Legend wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="22639" first="Blake" last="Doud"], Palmer Ridge tight end [player_tooltip player_id="22595" first="Cameron" last="Jones"], Ralston Valley offensive lineman Austin Brown, Rock Canyon quarterback Anthony Dellanno, Rock Canyon athlete [player_tooltip player_id="22589" first="Vann" last="Schield"] and Ponderosa quarterback Jack Hanenburg.
A pair of Durango teammates have earned offers to play at CSU-Pueblo. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="22656" first="Jordan" last="Woolverton"] and wide receiver/linebacker Ben Finneseth announced offers to the program over the weekend.
In a story posted by the Colorado High School Activities Association last week, the governing body has yet to make an official decision on whether fall sports will resume as scheduled, be delayed or moved to a later part of the season. Should the season start on time, the first day of fall practices for football would take place on Aug. 10.
