Panthers’ Roster Loaded With Talent: Preseason Class of 2021 Top 200

Derby, the two-time defending 6A State Champions enter the 2020 season led by a senior class with six student-athletes ranked in the Preseason Kansas Top 200.
Here is a look at the members of the Senior Class of 2021 who hope to lead the Panthers to their sixth state championship since 2013.
<strong>QB, [player_tooltip player_id="35352" first="Lem" last="Wash"], 5’10”, 205 (Ranked No. 11)</strong> – Wash just might be the most athletic member of the class of 2021. A fast quarterback with a quick arm he has and will continue to receive DI offers.
<strong>LB, [player_tooltip player_id="35398" first="Luke" last="Stewart"], 5’11”, 190 (Ranked No. 57)</strong> – Stewart is the first of two Panther Linebackers to make the Top 200. He is a well-disciplined backer who can shed blocks and run-down carriers in the open field.
<strong>LB, Jack Hileman, 6’0”, 175 (Ranked No. 24)</strong> – Hileman has a natural feel for the game, a quick motor, and knows how to finish tackles. As a junior, he was a named to the Class 6A All-State First Team.
<strong>WR, [player_tooltip player_id="35378" first="Reid" last="Liston"], 6’0”, 180 (Ranked No. 37)</strong> – Liston is a solid route runner who is not afraid to make catches in the middle of the field. He runs a 4.5 forty and is a solid target for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="35352" first="Lem" last="Wash"].
<strong>DB, [player_tooltip player_id="35382" first="Tanner" last="Knox"], 5’11”, 175 (Ranked No. 41)</strong> – Knox can play multiple positions on defense. He reads the offense well and primarily plays a safety position, but could also be a solid cover linebacker.
<strong style="font-size: 1rem;">LB, [player_tooltip player_id="35399" first="Coleson" last="Syring"], 6’2”, 200 (Ranked No. 58)</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> – The Class of 2021 is filled with quality linebackers and Syring is near the top of that group. He is a smart defensive player and like the other members of the Panther senior class knows how to play winning football.</span>
