This has never been about pride or being the first to put these lists out. It is all about getting it right – and that is why we not only trust what we see, but the opinion of coaches – to make our final lists as accurate as possible.
While being rated and recognized in July/August is nice – and there is plenty to feel good about, the ONLY true listing that carries any weight is the last one made.
During the next five months – while we watch prospects perform – these lists will change, and for those who may be rated too high or too low – they will have the chance to prove it.
Having compiled these rankings since the early 1970’s, and having an amazing accuracy rate, our objective then – and now with Prep Redzone Florida – is to make sure that we recognize the prospects by seeing them in competition – and not just running the 40 or lifting weights.
When we began this journey into recruiting, there was nothing to judge these football prospects but experience and your own eyes. That has not changed – even though there are many enhancements to aid in the overall process.
Unlike many services or fan websites, who believe they have all the answers, we welcome input on prospects that we may have overlooked – or perhaps have rated higher or lower than many believe. But understand that we see as many football players in the state of Florida as anyone – and that is something that we take pride in doing.
This past year, we have had the pleasure, between games, practices, camps and combines to see close to 4,000 prospects – at every level and in every class.
Our initial listing of 2021 prospects not only has a top 100, but also lists additional prospects, including special teams performers who we have been fortunate to watch at showcases – when no other media, analyst or recruiting company is on hand.
Remember, our objective is to promote and expose prospects. It’s something that every coach in Florida cannot dispute!
