Deangelo McClellan, 5’11" 170lbs, Mundelein
McClellan is a versatile defensive back that spends time at both the CB and S positions. Consistently stays attached to his opponent, making it difficult for the receiver to make a play on the football. Excels at attacking the football at its highest point—a sure tackler that finds creative ways to poach the ball loose from the opposing ball carrier.
Marc Davilla, 5’10" 175lbs, Warren (Gurnee)
Davilla excels in man coverage and is the type of cornerback that doesn’t mind being on an island with opposing team’s best receiver. He has fluid hips and quick feet, the ability to change directions quickly, and the speed and athleticism to pester his opponents in coverage. He’s a ball hawk with excellent instincts that seem to always place him at the right place at the right time to make a play on the ball. Davilla is poised for a breakout season as he heads into his senior campaign as the feature cornerback on a Warren defense that made it to the 2019 Class 8A state championship game.
[player_tooltip player_id="20349" first="Jaden" last="Mojica"], 5’9" 185lbs, Adlai Stevenson
Mojica is everything you would want in a one-on-one lockdown CB.. Has the size and strength to win press coverage and make his presence felt in run support. Exceptional hip fluidity to get in and out of breaks and has phenomenal reaction time.
[player_tooltip player_id="20358" first="Jalen" last="Burton"], 5’10" 180lbs, Carmel (Mundelein)
Burton was selected to the 2019 CCL/ESCC all-conference team, arguably one of the toughest conferences in the entire state of Illinois, so if you’re able to be selected to that all-conference team— you’re a pretty good football player. Burton is a supreme athlete that can do just about anything on the field. What I love about him is his toughness at the DB position. He excels in press coverage and makes it very hard for receivers who aren’t physical off the line. He’s official in man coverage and just as good in covering the field from sideline-to-sideline. Adds value to special teams as an elite return man.

[player_tooltip player_id="35745" first="Jayden" last="Marquis"], 6’0" 185lbs, Antioch
He’s the eyes of the defense that only allowed 54 total points in 2019. An all-around cerebral safety who has the potential to break out this season. Plays the position with his eyes and feet, which allows him to have excellent play recognition. Always in the right place at the right time.
