As we move closer and closer to the start of the football season, it is important that we highlight as many players as possible.
With that said, we are going to take a look at the top skill position players from as many districts as possible in the state before fall camps begin.
Some of these players are already receiving college interest, while others are looking to catch the eye of that right coach.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23847" first="Tate" last="Stine-Smith"] - Adel-ADM</strong>
With a season under his belt leading the Adel-ADM offense, it should be a lot of fun watching [player_tooltip player_id="23847" first="Tate" last="Stine-Smith"] operate.
Stine-Smith completed 151 of 232 passes last year for 1,760 yards with 18 touchdowns and a 128.8 rating. He also carried the ball 153 times for 867 yards and scored nine times, averaging almost six yards per rush.
While seeing time on defense, Stine-Smith boasted 39 yards per punt as the Tigers went 5-4.
<strong>Ty Walker - Dallas Center-Grimes</strong>
This district is going to be fun to watch with all the returning talent at quarterback.
Dallas Center-Grimes has its starter back in Ty Walker, who threw for 1,115 yards and ran for another 144 last year.
Walker completed 96 of 162 passes, averaging 12 yards per completion. He threw for 14 touchdowns and will have his leading rushers and two of his top receivers back, as well.
<strong>Jerad Fischer - Des Moines Hoover</strong>
Guiding the controls of the Des Moines Hoover offense will once again be Jerad Fischer.
Fischer completed 118 of 219 passes a year ago, throwing for 1,760 yards with 11 touchdowns. He also added 146 yards on the ground and will have plenty to work with this fall.
The Huskies won twice last year ofter Des Moines North and Sioux City North. Fischer threw for over 240 yards with four combined TDs in those wins.
<strong>Dontrez Robinson - Des Moines Hoover</strong>
Jerad Fischer has some exceptional talent to throw to this season at Des Moines Hoover and that includes Dontrez Robinson.
Robinson hauled in 49 passes for 666 yards and six touchdowns a season ago, averaging almost 14 yards per catch. He also handled kickoff return duties, posting 15 yards per return.
<strong>Gabe Banks - Des Moines Hoover</strong>
Balancing out the offense at Des Moines Hoover was Gabe Banks, as he ran for 870 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
Banks, who posted 8.4 yards per carry, also caught 24 passes for 377 yards and two more scores.
<strong>Ethan Carlson - Norwalk</strong>
Norwalk boasts some pretty incredible talent and that includes on the football field.
At wide receiver, Ethan Carlson returns after catching 30 passes for 550 yards with 10 touchdowns. While most of the production at running back has moved on, the Warriors will have players to work with.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23856" first="Chase" last="McKinney"] - Norwalk</strong>
While there is nothing wrong with Ethan Carlson’s 18 yards per catch, that didn’t lead Norwalk last season.
That right belonged to [player_tooltip player_id="23856" first="Chase" last="McKinney"], who averaged almost 29 yards per reception. McKinney had 19 catches for 545 yards, with eight of those going for scores.
He also had 38 yards rushing.
