While elite prospects will find their place in the sun, early on – with many recruiting services and fan websites using performances in camps and combines as a barometer. But this class goes a lot further than just those who perform well in shorts and a t-shirt.
In cities such as Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and everywhere in between, you are going to find talented young men, who may not grab the spotlight from non-contact events, but will turn heads into the season with what they do on the football field.
Here is a look at five prospects who you can add to the many, many gifted rising football players we will continue to bring from all over the Sunshine State:
Xavier Bryant, WR/CB, Pahokee. The objective of many areas in this state is to produce prospects, who are versatile enough to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball – and on special teams, providing colleges a total athlete. Here is one of those from the “Muck” – in western Palm Beach County, who is already making waves.

Nathaniel Davis, DE, Miramar. In this young man, you have a football talent who got it done this past year, and with a solid off season, he will be fun to watch as the Patriots are looking to get back in the playoff mix in a competitive district.

Hunter Sims, LB/FB, Lynn Haven Mosley. This is one of those programs that is slowly turning the corner, and with many versatile, two-way players, like this young man, it will be exciting to watch. Another impact player who continues to work hard and mature into one of those football players who will make a difference.

Kevis Thomas, QB, Perry Taylor County. At a program that always has talented athletes in northern Florida, here is another who has plenty of promise, and with growth and maturity, his stock is sure to rise. In just the past four months, he has gotten bigger, stronger and wiser on and off the field.

Kaiden Thompson, WR, South Miami. Do not sleep on the Cobras – especially with the arrival of first year head coach Arties Knight and the amount of athletes available each season. Thompson could be the next head-turner at receiver. He has the tools to be special. Just needs to continue maturing and working hard.
