If there is anything that you will appreciate about athletes in Florida is age and team classification means nothing at all.
Because of the superior youth football programs in every corner of the state, athletes are coached and groomed to take charge and fear nobody – when they get to high school.
As there are numerous prospects all over the country who are well coached, and often ready to make an impact when they arrive in high school, Florida-bred prospects compete at such a high level, the transition is usually seamless – as 14 and 15-year-olds now share that same spotlight that is usually reserved for the older, mature players.
During the course of a year, we will continue to bring you more talent – at all levels, and in all classes – than any other source. We understand that while the star-rated prospects will always get the hype, it’s those talented young men without recognition will work harder to impress, and in the process, showcase their many talents to colleges and universities who would normally would never get a chance to see them.
Today, the focus is back on 5 Class of 2023 football players who have a chance to be special – away from the bright lights!
Nathan Carter, LB/RB/QB, Gibsonton East Bay. The one thing that veteran head coach
Frank LaRosa has always been about is producing versatile football talent that would have the ability to play a number of positions, helping his teams win. In Carter, he has that prospect that is ready to make a name for himself at a number of positions – on both sides of the ball.

Terrance Holland, WR/CB, Jacksonville Andrew Jackson. What does everyone at any level look for when evaluating a high school football prospect? The one thing is play-making abilities, and this is certainly a football player that brings that to the table – on both sides of the ball. A true slot receiver with speed and loads of energy to play this game at a high level. Head Coach
Antoine Atwater certainly has something special in this quality talent.

Trooper Price, LB/TE, Tallahassee North Florida Christian. Through the years, here is a program that has churned out a number of versatile and quality prospects, and with this gifted athlete, they have another young and impressive talent. Even as a freshman, he proved to be a valuable part of this football program as a linebacker and as a tight end with his instincts and natural ability for veteran head coach
Steve Price and his Eagles.

Dylan Rizk, QB, Delray American Heritage. There are not very many football players in this country who have the ability and experience that this impressive talent has. Competing against some of the best talent – at every grade in south Florida – he was established before his freshman season ever began. Coach
Brian Sheridan and the Stallions have a stellar quarterback who will continue to elevate his standing as a national prospect over the next three seasons.

David Vadala, LB, Plantation American Heritage. If you know anything about football – especially in south Florida – there is an understanding that you just do not come in as a freshman and dominate. Not at a program like this where one-time NFL standout
Pat Surtain and his coaching staff have taken many raw prospects and transformed them into national recruits. In Vadala, you have an athlete who is not only among the hardest workers on a team filled with collegiate prospects, but his production earned him All-American honors, and all college coaches will be watching his progress each and every season until he graduates in 2023.
