With these commitments and visits being reported, Northstar Football News is going in-depth to reveal which of Minnesota’s high school program’s hold some of the deepest and most talented recruiting classes in the state. This sixth edition to the series will take us up North about 3 and a half hours Northwest of Minneapolis to Moorhead, MN near the ND border. The town of around 43,000 is about to be well known for something else besides its proximity to Fargo and it’s various post-secondary institutions, as its high school: the Moorhead Spuds, boast a deep, athletic, & talented c/o 2021 recruiting class that helped them reach the 2019 Class 5A state quarterfinals. Although they lost a 55-58 heartbreaker to Elk River, the Spuds still finished 2019 with eight victories, and a large part of that success was due to the large and hard-working Spuds in the c/o 2021. With a ton of returning talent at a variety of positions and some important postseason experience gained Moorhead is poised to make a legitimate run at the 5A state championship next season. They feature one of the best passing attacks in the state, hard-nosed and relentless defenders, playmaking RBs, and hogs on the OL and DL that are the foundation for every championship team. While they did graduate some ballers this spring, Northstar Football News is happy to present this Moorhead Spuds edition of “2020-21 MN Recruiting Hotbeds” where we will take a closer examination at the impressive ‘21 senior class. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
