<strong>MENOMONIE, WI-- </strong>The Blue Devils of UW-Stout landed a commitment from one of the most solid defesnive linemen in the metro last week. We caught up with <strong>Jackson Mack </strong>to see what made him commit to the WIAC program in northwest Wisconsin.
<strong>What Went Into Mack's Commitment to the Blue Devils</strong>
It all went into when Jackson Mack took a visit to UW-Stout and the great city of Menomonie, Wisconsin. "When I visited, it just felt like a place I could live for the next 4 to 5 years," Mack told Northstar Football News. Talking to the Blue Devils coaches about his will to win and doing whatever it takes sold him on UW-Stout.
<strong>Other College Options Mack Considered</strong>
In the end, it came between, UW-Stout and Hamline University in St. Paul in which Mack told us was a "very hard decision" to choose Stout over the Twin Cities MIAC program in the Hamline Pipers.
<strong>Adjusting to the College Game</strong>
Mack told us that the biggest change he will have to make is his speed. "The college game is a lot faster, so I need to use my feet and get more agile." he said about college football vs. high school.
<strong>Huskies Alumni Helping The Way</strong>
Jackson Mack had a former Huskies teammate in <strong>Evan Halet</strong> that is a student at UW-Stout now and Halet was influential in Mack's decision to choose the Blue Devils next year. There is also tons of Twin Cities metro standouts that occupy the Blue Devils <a href="https://athletics.uwstout.edu/roster.aspx?path=football">roster.</a>
<strong>Looking Forward to the Future for Mack</strong>
Mack said he looks forward to living the "college football life to the fullest" and just having fun with his teammates over the next four years.
