2021 Rankings Top 30 Newcomers Part 2: 11-20 Here is part 2 of our look at 11-20 of the top 30 players added to our recent rankings update. #76 WR [player_tooltip player_id="89069" first="OJ" last="Washington"], Fort Dorchester, 6’1, 185 Fort Dorchester has a lot of talent and Washington is one of those studs. He was named 5A Honorable Mention All-State and second-team All-Lowcountry in 2020. Through six games he had an impressive 22.5 yards-per-catch on 23 catches. #81 WR/TE [player_tooltip player_id="89070" first="Bradley" last="Washington"], Bethune-Bowman, 6’3, 180 Washington is a tweener who some believe will bulk up to be a tight end in college. The 2020 Class A Honorable Mention All-State selection was picked for the Shrine Bowl roster as well and jumped out on tape. #82 CB [player_tooltip player_id="89071" first="Chance" last="Mackey"], Clover, 5’11, 180 This 2020 5A All-Region pick was a terror for quarterbacks from his corner spot. He can pick off a pass and is a threat to take it to the house every time. His size and ball skills make him someone to watch at the next level as he can high point a ball very well and will tackle. He was picked for the Shrine Bowl roster. #84 CB [player_tooltip player_id="89076" first="Myles" last="Walker"], Berkeley, 5’10, 170 Walker was not really high on the radar as a junior but he became a shutdown corner for Berkeley in 2020. He can tackle and plays physical with very good closing speed. He was named All-Region and First-Team All-Lowcountry with 31 tackles, two interceptions, four breakups, and two blocked kicks in 2020. #87 DB [player_tooltip player_id="89077" first="Key’shard" last="McCroey"], Northwestern, 6’0, 170 Northwestern is always loaded and McCroey was one of several standouts on that defense. He was a 5A Honorable Mention All-State selection who can play corner or safety. His closing speed and tackling really stood out on tape to help him make a big jump. #90 WR [player_tooltip player_id="89078" first="Jordan" last="Smith"], Ridge View, 5’9, 170 Smith was named Class 5A First-Team All-State with 42 catches for 612 yards and eight touchdowns in just six games. He averaged 14.6 per catch and 102 yards per game. #95 [player_tooltip player_id="89079" first="JD" last="Ratliff III"], Spartanburg, 6’1, 170 Ratliff is a Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State selection who was tough to stop in 2020. He can high point the ball and is good on contested passes. He shows very good awareness and vision along with smooth change of direction skills. #101 DT [player_tooltip player_id="85351" first="Ethan" last="Rennels"], Boiling Springs, 6’3, 300 Rennels had a big senior year where he was an All-Region performer and named to the Epic 84. While he will need to become more explosive for the next level he is a big body who has strength and can stop the run or rush the passer. He signed with Campbell as he became a legit D1 prospect in the fall. #102 RB [player_tooltip player_id="89080" first="Riley" last="Myers"], River Bluff, 6’0, 185 2020 was good to Myers as he became a Class 5A First-Team All-State and All-Region performer. He finished the year with 701 yards and 11 touchdowns to average 6.3 per carry and 117 per game. He shows good vision in traffic and can run inside or outside. #103 LB KJ Scott, Greenwood, 6’3, 200 Scott was a 2020 Class 4A First-Team All-State and All-Region pick who has a 3.3 GPA and makes a lot of plays on the field. He will need to fill out his frame for the next level but he has good length, speed, and makes explosive plays. Scott played both running back and linebacker but is a projected to play on defense at the next level.
