Jacob Stifter, Junior, Fullback, Glencoe-Silver Lake
Stifler is one the more pure fullbacks I’ve written about this season. At a 6’0 215, he has had the size to be a gritty fullback. When it wasn’t Jaskowiak carrying the ball, Stifler did a nice job last not only creating holes for Jaskowiak but making his cuts to generate yards for the Panthers defense that was dependent on him and Jaskowiak.
Elijah Stellmach, Junior, Running Back, Zimmerman
Stellmach was a very consistent runner in yesterday’s game against the Panthers. With over 50 yards rushing on my tally and over 5 yards a carry, Stellmach showed great authority with his runs and plays a great game to get Zimmerman the win.
Mitchel Jaskowiak, Sophomore, Running Back, Glencoe-Silver Lake
Jaskowiak is a kid I feel we will be talking about as a D-2 prospect next year. If you could define a power back, Jaskowiak exceeds the definition. In my opinion, he runs similar to former Eagan RB/SDSU RB Zach Zenner as he’s not the fastest guy on the field, but will get the yards he needs to help his team. Jaskowiak accumulated more than half of his team’s offense last night which is why he’s my biggest dog for the Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers.

Although Rivers had one catch for 36 yards, it was the biggest catch of the night to set up the Thunder lead for the rest of the night. I was told that although Zimmerman focuses more on the rushing attack, McEachern and Rivers had a connection in games past. With the ball on the 50-yard line, McEachern found Rivers down the sideline for a 36-yard catch with 20 seconds left on the clock and the ball on the 14-yard line. This big catch by Rivers was able to give Zimmerman the lead for good and the lead going into halftime.

When you picture your senior night, you not only want a team win but to say that you left in all on the field within the words of Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights “no regrets”. I would say McEachern had one heck of a senior night; with 3 TDs, a massive 60-yard run, over 150 yards of offense, and to close the game off for the Thunder an INT on defense. Even with the outstanding game, this kid was extremely humble in my interview with him and is ready to roll into sections next week for the Thunder’s next task at hand.
