<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">"I believe what I do best is catching the ball, hitting, read and react," Roseville athlete <strong>Gary Smith III</strong> said to Northstar Football. "I'm a game changer and I'm physical player that don't shy away of any contact like that's why I play football is to hit someone. My season last year went great. It started out a little slow but middle of season I start to have big games and made a lot of plays. I won all section last season and won all district sophomore and junior. I been lifting and working out with my football team and my trainer. I'm looking to improve on route running and making quicker cuts because to be a better wide receiver you got to run good routes to be open and to break out."</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Expectations are higher for Smith after transferring to Roseville this offseason. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">"My expectations for this season is to make a lot of plays and be the best player for my team," Smith explained. "That's to make plays and I want to make a big impact in 6A, I'm ready to play with the big dogs and as a team we want to compete every game and to make a run in the playoffs. Everyone is hungry and not satisfied where we at and we work as a team to get better everyday."</span></span></p>
