Jones is a tall and lanky cornerback at 6’2” 175 lbs. who is a fluid athlete with the top end speed to sustain coverage all over the field. He’s a physical corner that has plus ball skills using his body control and coordination to disrupt routes and break up passes. Strong combination of technique/footwork and natural coverage ability. He’s got quick feet and good change of direction to match lateral movement and transition out of his back pedal. Signed to Eastern Washington on Early Signing Day over offers from Army and Yale. He’s got great upside for the college level with his length, speed, and athleticism.

Zion is another top player in the entire class of 2023 within the state of Washington. Spannaway Lake has been playing extremely solid throughout the year as a defensive back. He stays with the receiver well, being able to stop on a dime if the player he is guarding does as well. He reads the quarterback well and has great catching ability for a defensive back, which he showed off with a great pick against Silas HS week 6.
