Cormier is an explosive athlete who is playmaker on both sides of the football. He is an elite receiver, who is a savvy route runner, he has strong, reliable hands and when he gets in space he has the speed to turn a short gain into a big play. Cormier’s exceptional ball skills led to numerous positive plays for the Bulldog offense. His smooth route running, combined with his ability to come down with contested catches, made him one of the biggest threats on the field. Cormier displayed incredible concentration and strong hands, thriving against single coverage and showcasing his athleticism after the catch. He tallied 34 catches for 763 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. The Houston Cougar commit will look to top those numbers in his senior year.

Cormier is a twitchy athlete, who has the ability to start and stop on a dime and his explosiveness of the off the ball offensively enables him to get open early in his routes. He runs crisp routes, he gets in and out of his breaks quickly and he has the skill set that allows him to win no matter what coverage is being played. Zaylen is an explosive runner with excellent speed who excels at extending plays after the catch and he has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Zaylen makes plays on both sides of the football, lining up at safety, making plays on the backend showing great speed. Cormier has picked up recent offers from Houston, North Texas and Jackson State, adding to his double digit list of offers. He is a game changer who is a prospect to keep an eye on this offseason and you can expect more offers to come his way.
