Leatherman is a true plug in the middle of the defense, and has been moved up into our rankings in the final 2025 update. He is coming off a season where he was one of the most active tacklers across the region and shows he is a violent player that can bang in the box and shows good movement abilities in the open field and should find his home at inside linebacker the next level. He moves well in space, takes good angles into the backfield and can provide some pass rush off the edge of the middle as well. Leatherman is currently committed to Boise State to play rugby and leaves behind a tremendous career for the Army-Navy academy.

Leatherman is one of the top two-way guys in the region and a true banger in the box with some cover abilities as well against bigger backs and receivers while a very fluid athlete in space for his size. He flashes quick play diagnosis, triggers fast in the box and takes good angles in the open field while showing solid COD and lateral movement through traffic. He checks into our WL rankings and is in line for a monster Senior season and there should be no shortage of post-season accolades come December. Currently, he holds an offer from Boise State for rugby, but should also reel in some D3+ offers through the next several months.
