Summeril brings a college ready frame and physical presence to the tight end position, standing 6’5 and weighing 215 pounds. His size, combined with soft hands, makes him a dependable target across the middle of the field. After securing the catch, Summeril proves difficult to bring down, consistently fighting through contact and generating yards after contact. He was able to haul in 19 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns, flashing the ability to contribute as both a receiver and a blocker. In the run game, he shows good technique in setting the edge and engaging defenders. Summeril is another contested catch specialist. Propels himself over the defender to make the catch. Very good ball adjustment and body control paired with very good catching. He’s a YAC machine. Uses his powerful legs to drag multiple defenders for extra yards, trucks through people, or bounces off defenders. As a defender, he stays patient on RPOs and even got a 1 handed sack showing his strength. He’s already impressed me and I’m excited to see how he continues to develop.
