People can’t forget about O’Brady this upcoming season. His junior year was cut short due to injury, missing four games, but he’s still one of the top prospects on Long Island. At 6’2”, 225 pounds, he’s one of the hardest-hitting linebackers in the county. He had a great sophomore season, and even in limited action last year, he made eye-opening plays. As a senior, don’t be surprised if Floral Park uses him at running back — his vision and strength could make him very productive. He could gain serious attention this fall.

Straight downhill LB that loves to attack ball carriers and blocks with his power. This was shown when shedding off of opponents and attacking screens with pursuit. Otherwise, that power was huge on big hits, which O’Brady was able to produce in short yardage situations. Flipping to the TE spot, O’Brady was utilized heavily in blocking situations, especially in shotgun situations. For this purpose, setting him in motion and being the lead blocker was a big benefactor to the ball carrier.

O’Brady is a player whose tape I thought was very impressive; at 6’2 210, O’Brady probably is an LB at the next level, but he still is raw when it comes to any positional skill set. Entering his Junior season, O’Brady is one of the most athletic prospects from Long Island, and he has the size, strength, and explosiveness that set him apart from a lot of other bigger ATH prospects.
