Baca was playing through a knee injury and had some of the best reps of the day during the one-on-one period. He is best as an interior lineman. Baca does a good job keeping his hips square to the line of scrimmage, using his footwork to mirror the defender and never gives up too much ground.

Baca is a good run blocker who gets to the second level with ease and is good in the open field. He is strong and uses defensive linemen’s leverage against them.
His footwork is solid in pass protection and although he can work on his initial punch, he recovers well if he gets beat initially. One critique I have is that I can tell whether the play is a run or a pass based on his stance, but he’s young and has time to work on that.
