Gordon is a pure defensive football player that can be a difference maker from multiple positions. Signed to Idaho where he’s projected to play Safety but made most of his plays at LB while at Puyallup where he racked up 118 total tackles with 7.5 TFL’s during the 2022 season, also had 125 tackles and 14 TFL’s as a junior. He’s a ball hawk with a great nose for the football and is a rangy sideline to sideline tackler. Instincts and anticipation allows him to quickly read and react and disrupt plays as they are develop at or behind the LOS. Extremely physical and tough tackler that finishes through contact and to the ground every opportunity he gets. Excellent competitor that also held offers from Idaho State and Portland State with PWO’s to Oregon and Washington.

Wyatt has been playing absolutely outstanding during the first 4 weeks of the season and the Puyllup defense is playing as good as anyone in the state. Against Sumner HS, Gordon continued his dominant start. He complied 21 tackles, 3 being for loss. He was in the backfield all over the ball carrier all night long. He sheds blocks very well and is just as quick as anyone in the state. He leads by example on the football field and does so very well, whichever college is lucky enough to land his defensive back will be grateful they have him.

Wyatt was EVERYWHERE on the field week 1 against Emerald-Ridge. He might be the most versatile defensive player in the whole state. He can line up at LB, Safety, or even the nickel corner position. His tackling is as good as it gets in the state of WA and he showed that. During week 1, Gordon compiled 18 total tackles, 5 of them for loss, 2 of those being sacks on the QB. His anticipation catches my eye every time I watch film on him, he always strike at the perfect time. Like I mentioned, he’s a very good tackler, maybe the best open field tackler in the state. Gordon hits HARD but most importantly, he tackles CORRECTLY which is why his hits seems so big and impactful. He’ll continue to be a name to watch weekly for big games.
