I wrote about Wyatt coming into the event as someone that I wanted to see live. A big reason why was I wanted to see how the physical LB handled the more athletic side of the position It is awesome to report that the 2028 delivered a great showing that verified that he is building the tools to be able to play at the next level. The 5’11” 193 lbs athlete started his day with a 4.90 laser verified 40, 8’10” and 8’11” broad jumps, 7.31 L-drill, and a 4.47 shuttle. Also very noteworthy is that he has 10″ hands and a 6’5″ wingspan. So the 2028 may not be done growing yet.
We needed to see those tools translate to the field, though. Wyatt showed it to us. He was right at home taking on RBs in run game battles where he let that aggressive mentality lead to plenty of wins. Wyatt could flex his closing burst in those drills. I loved seeing that he could run downfield with RBs and that length he has on his frame came up clutch on a few plays. As Wyatt continues to get more comfortable playing in space he is only going to become more impressive of a prospect. Get him on your radars going forward.

This is an LB that has intrigued me since watching him during our winter rankings update. Wyatt is building the prototypical frame of an LB, sitting at 6′ 215 lbs. He is coming off a sophomore season where he piled up 78 tackles, 12 TFLs, and 4 sacks. No doubt he has the talent to be very impactful playing downhill against the run and getting after the QB. What I want to see Sunday is how he tests athletically during the combine, both his times and just how he looks moving around the field. To go along with that I want to see how he plays in coverage vs RBs 1 on 1 and see if that is something he fits naturally into. Having that ability would make him even more valuable and continue to push him up our boards.
