Tyrell is an athletic pocket QB who can operate in the pocket, making good, clean throws with zip on the ball. He can throw to all levels of the field with accuracy and does a good job placing balls away from the defenders. I like how he operates in the pocket as a QB first, and then uses his legs to extend the play as needed. His tape shows a couple designed runs, but his arm is the feature of his game. He is one to watch as a potential stock riser in the future.

Tyrell Benton is an excellent quarterback with all the tools. I love the way he throws the ball. He throws it over the top and has a perfect arm angle. His mechanics and footwork are excellent. He also always seems to know where he wants to throw the ball. Benton played well the entire 7 on 7 for Virginia Ambush. I came away super impressed with his ability, and he has a bright future. He should also be a stock riser in the future. I can see him moving up the rankings.
