It’s been refreshing see Deer River – population ~ 900 – continuing to find prospects on our PRZMN Big Boards over the cycles. The Warriors have a athletic, big-bodied pass-catcher in their 2027 class in 6’4, 185 lber. Tyler Latvala, who has been generating some serious DII and NAIA interest this offseason thanks to that frame, 6’5″ wingspan, 220 lb. bench, and 290 lb. squat.

Latvala nearly took a kick back for six in 2025 to highlight some explosiveness, multi-phase utility, and vision, and throughout his reps as a WR this past fall he did a good job of getting open at the top of the route. Plus, Latvala displays a big catch radius and strong hands that can pluck the ball out of the air and away from his body. Plus, the frame could grow, pack on, and add some serious mass and muscle to it, especially in a college S&C program, so make sure you add Latvala to your recruiting boards this cycle.
