Voss is a rangy Edge who has long strides that can get deep into the backfield in just a few steps. He’s got good closing speed and can wrap up in the open field. He’s got good balance and doesn’t get knocked off his spot easily. He can play the run and fill gaps properly. He won’t abandon his lane and give up the easy play. He’s good at ripping the ball out and knows to throw his arms up if he doesn’t get home. I like his consistency and how he built upon his first year starting. Over his last 20 games, he’s put up 126 tackles, 12 TFLs, 7 sacks, recovered 5 fumbles, and deflected 2 passes.

Voss is a versatile edge who is athletic enough to drop back into coverage when needed, but has a nonstop motor when attacking the line. He’s disciplined in run fits and can be fairly effective against the run. In 20 career games, he’s put up 126 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, 6 sacks, 3 passes deflected, and 3 fumble recoveries.

Voss intrigues me. He’s a long, athletic 6’5″ kid who was productive on defense last year, finishing with 66 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks. But when I watch him move, I can’t help but see the potential for him to become a great tight end down the line. He can block, has good speed for his size, and shows reliable hands. He moves well in space and has that natural fluidity you look for in a big pass catcher. Whether he stays on defense or makes the switch, he’s got the tools to be a real weapon and someone I’ll be keeping a close eye on.
