About Ty

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a downhill, decisive running back who prides myself on consistency and physicality. I read blocks well, trust my offensive line, and get north and south quickly. I don’t waste movement — I focus on efficiency, ball security, and finishing runs falling forward. In short-yardage situations, I’m dependable, and in space, I’m confident making defenders miss and creating explosive plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I take pride in being dependable. Coaches know I’ll listen. Teammates know I’ll fight beside them. I don’t talk much — I just work. I believe in discipline, accountability, and earning everything I get. Nothing has ever been handed to me, and I wouldn’t want it that way. I’m blue collar in how I train, how I practice, and how I play. Tough, steady, consistent. I don’t quit when it’s hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay active beyond football by competing in track and being involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where I grow in leadership, discipline, and serving others.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership didn’t happen overnight for me. It came from doing the small things right every day. I learned that being a leader isn’t about being the loudest — it’s about being consistent. I lead by example first. I show up early, work hard, and stay accountable. When younger guys have questions, I help. When things get tough, I don’t point fingers — I step up.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced obstacles that tested my patience and my character, but I’ve learned that adversity builds you if you let it. There were moments where things didn’t go my way — setbacks, doubts, challenges I couldn’t control — but instead of making excuses, I chose to work harder. I leaned into discipline, trusted the process, and kept showing up even when it wasn’t easy.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a smaller college program where development and culture matter. A place where hard work is noticed, roles are earned, and relationships between coaches and players are real. I want a program built on discipline, accountability, and toughness.
