Carter had a wild game against Niwot. He had 46 carries for 309 yards with 4 touchdowns averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Carter’s legs were a driving factor behind Summit’s win. Carter displays good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, balance, good change of direction, and speed. Very good vision. Carter mixes between weaving and running through defenders. Picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. Very good inside running. Carter will run through a gap with ferocity, putting his shoulder down to run through linebackers. He was consistently gaining yards after contact throughout the night. Using his balance, trucking, or a stiff arm, Carter was bulldozing his way through defenders. He’ll need some extra rest after this type of performance, and is putting himself on the radar!

Carter was one of the standout performers of Thursday night, turning in an eye catching performance on both sides of the football. The small school prospect carried the ball 22 times for an impressive 234 yards while also recording two interceptions defensively. Carter consistently kept the chains moving and showed the explosiveness to produce chunk plays throughout the game. He has the ability to make the first defender miss in space but can also lower his shoulder and finish runs with physicality. That combination gives him multiple ways to create yardage. Carter will look to build on this performance as the season continues and another strong outing could quickly make him a name to watch.
