Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Tia had a monster senior season as a dual threat guy with 268 yards per game with 32 touchdowns and just four interceptions with a 76 percent completion clip. He also ran for 871 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He throws one of the tightest spirals in the class and can put some heat on the ball when he has to. Tia is a great athlete with good awareness in the pocket and can make some huge plays.

Tia has skyrocketed up rankings and recruiting boards with excellent play throughout his senior season. Jumped to the #6 ranked QB in the state and #40 overall. Flashes elite level mobility and pocket movement to escape pressure and create throwing lanes while keeping his eyes downfield for a target. He shows excellent awareness of coverages and where defenders are to go through his progression and hit an open man. He processes information quickly and makes decisive reads throwing a good ball with tight spin and good placement to allow his receivers to run after the catch. He’s a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses with his ability as both a passer and runner. Threw for 3,758 yards and 32 touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes and throwing only 4 interceptions on 301 attempts. Added 871 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground. Signed with Oregon State where he could compete for a starting job early in his career.

Tia is one of the hottest quarterbacks still on the board in the entire state, and has seen his recruitment sky rocket in recent weeks. He is putting together a terrific Senior season for Amador Valley, and has recently picked up offers from Utah, Oregon state, Colorado State, and the University of Montana. His dual threat abilities and quick release while able to push the ball downfield has been evident week in and week out so far this season. He is one of the top names to keep an eye on as we near national signing day in the next few months and he is without a doubt one of the top uncommitted prospects across the state of California.

Tia has been busy as of late, gathering offers from Appalachian State, Colorado State, Utah State, Montana and Sacramento State within the last few weeks and is having a strong season so far for Amador Valley. He is a very mobile passer with good open field speed and throwing on the run abilities as well. He had another big week in week 7, throwing for 4 scores against a always tough Campolindo squad. AV moves to 4-3 on the season, and is another team to note as the NCS playoff picture begins to take shape.

Tia is one of the top uncommitted prospects in California, and recently picked up an offer from Utah State this past week, and is off to a tremendous start to his Senior season. Tia is one of the top offensive players across northern California, and has been one of the highest regarded signal callers in his class throughout his prep career. Still uncommitted, he is a top name to note as we draw closer to national signing day and he makes his college decision.

Tia has been one of the more dynamic passers and true dual-threat quarterbacks across northern California for the past couple seasons, and had a very busy off-season pulling in offers from Boston College, NAU, Sacramento State, SJSU and UNLV. He got off to a terrific start to his Senior season passing for 277 yards and 1 TD, while completing over 65% of his passes downfield in this Amador Valley run heavy offense. Although taking a tough loss to a very talented and physical El Cerrito team, Amador Valley should once again be one of the top teams in the section this Fall.

Tia is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 class around northern California, and is currently rated as a three-star prospect. He holds offers from Boston College and UNLV, and should see a slew of others come his way through his final prep season. He shows on film he can operate both under center and in shotgun, and is a very mobile and agile quarterback with good pocket movement and feels pressure well before stepping up or rolling out, and is a true threat to run if you give him a lane. Downfield, he has a nice deep ball with good air under it with a tight spin, and throws his receivers open while able to fit the ball into tight windows. A fast processor in the pocket, he quickly goes through his progressions, and is not afraid to complete passes underneath or across the middle of the field. Tia is a very under-rated runner and has elite escapability abilities. Look for the Senior signal caller to put up big time numbers in 2024 for what should be a physical and high powered Amador Valley offense.
