On film, Burkett plays with a relentless motor and attacking mentality. He dominates from odd-front alignments, using leverage and excellent pad level to create disruption in both the run and pass game. His pursuit effort stands out, and he consistently plays fast downhill with physicality.

Thomas worked through camp with a calm, controlled approach on the defensive line. He didn’t try to do too much, instead focusing on staying balanced at the snap and maintaining his position through contact. In drills, he showed solid discipline with his hands and feet, keeping reps clean and avoiding unnecessary mistakes that take him out of plays early.

In one-on-ones and team periods, he was more of a steady interior piece than a high volume disruptor, doing his job within the scheme and staying gap aware. He held his ground well when engaged, but continues to develop the ability to consistently shed blocks and create separation more quickly off contact.
